Located in the attic of a historic house, la volière opens up to the sky and the outside. The name is a subtle reference to the aviary, the birdhouse in French – a place with both structure and freedom. A retreat that remains without being fixed – and to which one always gladly returns.
02 Host
The idea for la volière grew over years, somewhere between South Tyrol and the South of France. Places, light, materials – many things have left their mark. Host Philipp has collected these impressions and carefully distilled them. The result is a place that exudes tranquility and lingers long after the last moment.

Those who arrive here are rarely looking for a structured program. Rather, they seek a place that offers both retreat and expansive views. For two or alone. For people who perceive things without needing to capture them – and who appreciate it when a space simply feels right.
04 Location
Brixen is not a place that imposes itself. History reveals itself here subtly – between arcades, courtyards, and clear vistas. A city that slows down the pace and sharpens the focus on what endures.
5 Features
The apartment is located just a few minutes' walk from the cathedral square, centrally located yet quiet. A spacious terrace with outdoor shower extends the living space outdoors. In summer, air conditioning ensures a pleasant coolness.
